What’s your perspective on God’s purposes in creation? Perspectives on the World Christian Movement is a one night per week course, hosted at Faith Bible Church and running Tuesday nights, January 16 to May 8. Since it began in 1974, Perspectives has had a powerful impact on tens of thousands of people. Each week, a different speaker (including FBC member Garry Morgan) unpacks a different lesson, beginning with “The Story of His Glory,” God’s purpose woven throughout Scripture to be glorified by every ethnic group on earth.
This course is not only for those considering full time vocational missions. Its aim is to produce global Christians who are equipped to carry out their roles, whatever that may be, in fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission. As John Piper says, “You have three possibilities in relation to missions. You can be a goer, you can be a sender, or you can be disobedient. There is no other option but those three. That means that there are no coasters. There are no people who say, ‘Missions is not my thing.’” Or as Mack Stiles puts it, “We are all called to missions in some sense because missions is a part of being a Christian, but we’re not all called to be ‘missionaries.’”
The Perspectives course can be Audited (come for the speakers only), or through readings and assignments in the Perspectives Reader, can be done for a Certificate, Undergraduate or Graduate credit. For more information, click the registration button below, or talk to Dan Ubaldo or Garry Morgan.
