Title: The Son of Man Is Crucified

Passage: Luke 22:47–53; 26–49

Principle: Jesus died as a substitute for sinners.

Praise: “I’m Forever Grateful”

Prompt: Ask your child these questions:

• What was a crucifixion?

• Why was it necessary for Jesus to die?

Practice: Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:

• By thanking Jesus for dying for sinners.

• By trusting that Jesus is the only way to heaven.

This Week: As a family, read Luke 22:47–53; 26–49.

Next Week: Luke 23:50–24:43

Leadership
A team of elders leads Faith Bible Church under the leadership of Christ and His Word. These are men who have been deemed to be qualified to serve in this way according to the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Each man is uniquely gifted by God to serve in this leadership position, and serves according to his ability in "overseeing" a part of the church at FBC.
