Main idea: Look to Christ when tempted, he will provide a way of escape to safely and faithfully finish your race.

  1. Secure yourself in Christ not his blessings (1 Corinthians 10:1-5)
  2. Avoid the idolatry of Israel 1 Corinthians (10:6-11)
    • The Golden Calf (Exodus 32)
    • Sexual Immorality (Exodus 32, Numbers 24)
    • Grumbling about Food and Drink (Numbers 21)
    • Grumbling about leadership (Numbers 14)
  3. Fear Your Weaknesses
  4. Escape by Christ’s Provision
    • Into Christ
    • Away from the Circumstance

Dr. Dan Jarms is teaching pastor and team leader at Faith Bible Church in Spokane Washington, as well as associate dean at The Master's Seminary in Spokane. He has been married for over 30 years to Linda, and has three adult children. He earned his B.A. in English at the Master’s College, B.Ed. at Eastern Washington University, M.Div and D.Min in Expository Preaching at The Master’s Seminary. His other interests include NCAA basketball, woodworking, and art.
