God's Design and purpose for marriage is much more than two people getting by in life together. It's more than physical attraction. It's more than just resolving or avoiding conflict. It is two people becoming one flesh, total unity and partnership in every area of life, a relationship where two people share life completely as long as they both shall live. The roles in marriage reflect an eternal plan that God has designed to image Christ's relationship to the church.
