Biblical Counseling Training

Our Training Vision

The Faith Biblical Counseling Center provides training for those interested in learning how to better minister the Word of God compassionately to others in spiritual need. For those desiring to pursue certification, our Intro to Biblical Counseling Class fulfills the ACBC “Fundamentals Training Course” requirements. It also fulfills some of the reading and counseling observation requirements. The ultimate aim is to help you become a “skilled spiritual friend,” who is able to help people grow in their relationship with God and their ability to view and respond to life in a God honoring way.

Our Training Team

The instructors for our Intro to Biblical Counseling Class are ACBC certified counselors, who are also actively part of the counseling ministry. They are committed to helping potential counselors establish a biblical methodology of counseling, grow in their knowledge of the Scripture, and solidify their commitment to the Bible’s sufficiency for understanding life and faith.

The Cost

The Intro to Biblical Counseling Class is offered for the low cost of $145. This includes the cost of the class and a notebook of materials, supplemental articles, and counseling tools. There are optional costs for textbooks that provide an excellent supplement to the class and would provide part of the reading requirements for those who are pursuing ACBC certification. *Faith Bible Church Members and Regular Attenders: Discounted price available. Brian is the Pastor of Counseling & Equipping at Faith Bible Church. He is passionate about the local church, and equipping the saints to effectively serve one another. Before coming to Spokane, he spent 14 years serving God's people as a pastor in rural New England (Vermont & New Hampshire).

Michelle Sayers and her husband, Brian serve in the counseling center at Faith Bible Church. She and Brian have been in ministry for over 20 years, first in rural New England, and now here in Spokane, WA.
