Main Idea: Christ was born to help—go to him for help
1. Why you must go to him for help
- He came to die with us (2:14)
- He came to destroy Satan’s tyranny (2:14)
- He came to free us from the fear of death (2:15)
- He came to deal with us mercifully and faithfully (2:16-18)
2. How you must go to him for help
- Go to him in faith (3:29, 11:6)
- Go to his people (3:13; 10:24-25)
- Go to his word (4:12)
- Go to Him in confession (4:13-16)
- Go to him when tempted, tried, and grieving (4:16)

Dr. Dan Jarms is teaching pastor and team leader at Faith Bible Church in Spokane Washington, as well as associate dean at TMS Spokane. He has been married for over 30 years to Linda, and has three adult children. He earned his B.A. in English at the Master’s College, B.Ed. at Eastern Washington University, M.Div and D.Min in Expository Preaching at The Master’s Seminary. His other interests include NCAA basketball, gardening, brick oven cooking.
