Introduction

Main idea: No matter who you are, come to Jesus in faith, for he alone has compassionate power to save.

  1. Two great threats
    1. To Jairus and his daughter
    2. To the woman
  2. Two great salvations
    1. Of the woman
    2. Of Jairus and his daughter

  

Implications:

Who then is this?
Jesus is the son of God with compassionate power to save.

  • He is Lord of all creation able to calm great storms
  • He is Lord over Satanic forces and he is defeating them
  • He is Lord over infirmities
  • He is Lord over death.

 

Respond: No matter who you are, come to Jesus in faith, for he alone has compassionate power to save.

List out your threats in these areas and entrust yourself to his compassionate power

  • Natural disaster
  • Sickness
  • Death
  • Temptation
  • Sin
  • Wrath and Judgment

 

Respond: Submit and surrender (again) to his Lordship

Dr. Dan Jarms is teaching pastor and team leader at Faith Bible Church in Spokane Washington, as well as associate dean at The Master's Seminary in Spokane. He has been married for over 30 years to Linda, and has three adult children. He earned his B.A. in English at the Master’s College, B.Ed. at Eastern Washington University, M.Div and D.Min in Expository Preaching at The Master’s Seminary. His other interests include NCAA basketball, woodworking, and art.
