Hold Fast to Christ and Reject Antichrists

Main Idea: Share in the life of God by holding fast to the truth of Christ as He is revealed in the Bible and rejecting the false messages of the antichrists.

1. Beware of deceivers and liars who deny Jesus Christ (1 John 2:18-19)
2. Believe the message of Christ that you have received (1 John 2:20-21)
3. Beware of false messages that deny Christ (1 John 2:22-23)
4. Hold fast to the biblical truth about Christ so that you can abide in the Father and the Son (1 John 2:24-27)

Implications

• Keep reading or listening to the Bible, looking for the teaching about the Christ. Know Him in the Scriptures. Love Him. Worship Him.
• Speak of the Christ with others. Help each other to know Jesus better!
• Be on guard against false teaching about Jesus.
