As the very oracles of God, the Bible must be handled with great care and accuracy. Our tendency can sometimes be to approach the Bible with all the baggage and background of our current cultural context, and jump straight to solving our own problems. Yet, in doing so, we create a problem: We likely miss the meaning of what the Bible is actually saying. In this message, we learn that before we can know how to use the Bible for our own lives, we need to know what it meant for the original writers and their audiences. Hermeneutics is the ‘art and science’ of Bible interpretation. The purpose of this series is to equip students with confidence and clarity as they approach their studies in the Bible.
