As we continue to study 1 Corinthians, we see more teaching about how to live a pure, holy life that is marked by the gospel. Paul unpacks in chapter 7 how to have relationships that are marked by the gospel of Christ, whether you are single or married, and whether you are married to an unbeliever or a believer. These principles show us how the realities of who Christ is and what He is doing should impact these different relationships.
In 1 Corinthians 8 we begin a larger section (8-14) that is addressing what it means to seek to build other Christians up. He helps them to see over and over how the gospel of Christ should lead us to consider others more important than ourselves and to seek to build them up in Christ.
