Saving faith defined:

Four manifestations of genuine faith in God’s saving promises which will result in a transcendent happiness in the Lord.

1. Submit to the saving promises (review 1:26-38)

    God’s promises of a Savior-King

2. Act on the saving promises (1:39-40)

3. Look for confirmation of saving promises (1:41-44)

4. Rejoice in the saving promises (1:40-44)

  • Rejoice in receiving the saving promises
  • Recognize your unworthiness to receive salvation (43)
  • Rejoice in the Lord’s nearness
  • Rejoice in the gift of faith

Dr. Dan Jarms is teaching pastor and team leader at Faith Bible Church in Spokane Washington, as well as associate dean at The Master's Seminary in Spokane. He has been married for over 30 years to Linda, and has three adult children. He earned his B.A. in English at the Master’s College, B.Ed. at Eastern Washington University, M.Div and D.Min in Expository Preaching at The Master’s Seminary. His other interests include NCAA basketball, woodworking, and art.
