Think on the good and practice the good and the result will be the powerful encouragement that the God of Peace is with you.

Sermon Notes

Context

Think on the good and practice the good and the result will be the powerful encouragement that the God of Peace is with you.

1. Good Thinking (4:8)

Psalm 119:34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Whatever is…

              True

              Honorable

              Just

              Pure

              Lovely

              Commendable

2. Good Practice

Learned and Received:

1 Thessalonians 2:13 And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.

Heard and Seen:

2 Timothy 3:10 You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness.
