Prayer and Fasting Emphasis - Spring 2020

Selected Scripture

Posted by Nathan Thiry on April 5, 2020

Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”

Matthew 9:15 “And Jesus said to them, "Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.”

Prayer and Fasting Emphasis at FBC

For the next 28 days (April 5 through May 3), as a church we want to commit to a season of prayer and fasting for the purposes mentioned below (growth, salvation, mercy). We are asking each member to commit to a time of prayer alone or with your family or roommates or growth group each day. You could choose a specific time of day that will work for you and others you might be praying with (in person or on the phone or however). We are also asking you to consider fasting (in whatever way you choose) one time (day, meal, days, etc…) each week.
