Main Idea: Two approaches of true repentance that bring us cleansing before God. 

1. Seek Cleansing From the Inside Out (Luke 11:37-41) 

Key Questions 

• Is the relationship with God what satisfies me, or is it what God will reward us with that satisfies me?
• Is this about the way I feel about myself that is most important or the way I feel toward God?

2. See the danger of defiled practices (Luke 11:42-44)

• The danger of majoring on the minors 
  • Micah 6:8 
  • Zechariah 7:8-10 
• The danger of wanting the praise of men 
  • John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 
• The Danger of Corrupting Influence

Dr. Dan Jarms is teaching pastor and team leader at Faith Bible Church in Spokane Washington, as well as associate dean at The Master's Seminary in Spokane. He has been married for over 30 years to Linda, and has three adult children. He earned his B.A. in English at the Master’s College, B.Ed. at Eastern Washington University, M.Div and D.Min in Expository Preaching at The Master’s Seminary.
