Proposition: John describes three realities about his letter that you must embrace so that you might know fullness of joy.

  1. The message is Christ Himself (v. 1)
  2. The personal experience of the Apostle means his message is authoritative (v. 2)
  3. Christ has manifested Himself very personally (v. 3
