Being Totally Depraved means that we were so inherently and unbendingly evil that we neither desired to change nor could we even if we wanted to. In other words, the nature of what sin is and the nature of God’s righteousness demands that if a sinner was ever going to get saved, it had to be by sovereign grace alone.
