Campaign cost: $250,000
The auditorium is the center of the faithful preaching of God’s Word, singing psalms and hymns, giving thanks and celebrating the Lord’s Supper and baptisms. Thus it held the highest priority for updates, and construction took place in 2022.
The long-obsolete lighting system was replaced. The sound system was updated with better sound engineering and a stage expanded to accommodate more musicians of all ages for worship. Careful project management kept the cost at $750,000 during Covid-related cost escalations and shortages. Members have already given $500,000 toward this project, but a $250,000 loan remains outstanding.

Faith Bible Church sits on a large property, most of which has been unused since its purchase. After years exploring usage options, soil studies, and design proposals, it was determined that it would be best to sell the property. The east and west ends of the property have large construction challenges because the property was a dry landfill 50 years ago.
The church will be selling the east end of the property to a development company that will build apartments that are complementary with the local community, as well as Faith Bible Church usage and parking. The proceeds from this sale, estimated at $500,000, will be applied to our Next Generation Facility Campaign.
The west end of the property was transferred in 2023 to developer Jim Greenup, a Faith elder who proposed a vision and has structured a gracious and favorable contract at fair market value for use of the property to provide ongoing funding for global missions.
Cost estimate: $20,000
The Growth Group ministry continues to grow, and 93 percent of Faith Bible Church members attend a small group. By definition these groups must be small, thus requiring multiple meeting locations where smaller communities can study, pray, and encourage one another. We would like to create more warm and welcoming spaces within the church facility for small groups to meet.
Cost estimate: $1,200,000
Children’s Ministry continues to grow, as young families are finding Faith Bible Church. Sunday morning attendance includes 150 children fifth grade and younger, and Wednesday evening Discovery attendance has grown to over 100 children.
As children are the next generation of the church, we desire to see continued excellence in teaching along with expanded ministry activity space. We envision an expanded foyer that would facilitate midweek children’s activities as well as improved Sunday fellowship for the entire church.
Cost estimate: $100,000
Parents have asked over the years for an outdoor play space and structure.
Cost estimate: $50,000
The Cora Avenue development plans will have a significant (we believe positive) visual impact on the entire street and property. Prominent street signage is desirable, as the church building will be less visible from down the street.
Cost estimate: $150,000
