The purpose of Aspiring Men is to train men for spiritual leadership in the church.

  • Training each man for spiritual leadership ministry
  • Mentoring each man for growth in calling, character, doctrine, and giftedness
  • Advising each man for next steps in ministry and training

Distinctives

Spiritual Leadership Training

Each man receives training on the role of spiritual leadership in the local church and the biblical qualifications for elders.

Preaching Experience

Each man learns and practices expository preaching amongst his peers and receives constructive critique.

Mentoring by Spiritual Leaders

Each man receives evaluation and encouragement to grow in his pastoral ministry understanding and ministry skills through a team of elder-qualified mentors.

Ministry Experience

Each man is equipped through on-the-job ministry training in the local church, with encouragement to rotate through several ministries.

Spiritual Leadership Observation

Each man is encouraged to attend elder meetings at Faith Bible Church and learn about spiritual leadership through observation.

Recommendations for Next Steps

Each man receives input to help determine next steps for ministry and training.

Ministry Leaders
Dan Jarms

Dr. Dan Jarms is teaching pastor and team leader at Faith Bible Church in Spokane Washington, as well as associate dean at TMS Spokane. He has been married for over 30 years to Linda, and has three adult children. He earned his B.A. in English at the Master’s College, B.Ed. at Eastern Washington University, M.Div and D.Min in Expository Preaching at The Master’s Seminary. His other interests include NCAA basketball, gardening, brick oven cooking.
